I have been battling hair algae the last few months but with regular hands in cleaning and scrubbing I'm really close to getting on top of it :)
My snails however seem to stick out like some 'punks from a rock band"
I removed 1 snail and tried to tug hair algae off but it was really tough, I tried to brush with toothbrush but again it would not move ( I had fear of squishing/ hurting little guy by pinch/holding it)
I have hydrogen peroxide that I could target blast but think this may kill snails and also I would not do this in my aquriam.

As funny as they look ... I Would appreciate any suggestions to remove hair algae from snails :)

Hold it upside down and be very careful not to squirt h2o2 on the snail itself, only on the shell.

I dip the toothbrush with straight H2O2, hold the snail upside down and have a little clean salt water to keep the snail safe
I have had trocus covered in valonia - smile

I had an idea the other day related to this kind of..
I noticed a snail on my return nozzle which had it’s shell exposed to air for quite some time (a few hours minimum..) - when I saw it again next it’s shell was white like everything growing on it had died off..

wonder if you put a snail in 1/4-1/2” of water for a few hours (just enough to keep the snail covered but the shell out) if that would fix it for good.. lol
