my hammer coral looks great all night until the lights start to ramp down, then right before lights out (2 hours before) the hammer completely retracts and you can see his mouth open. Should I be concerned?

Thanks

This is very normal with a lot of corals (Lps and softies)

One of my hammers does it. The other one not very often.
It’s probably just use to your light schedule :-)

As long as no flesh is missing and it’s open during the day. I wouldn’t be concerned at all! They can feed at night hence why the mouth is open.
