The 2 different pictures show different locations, and I'm sure why @crocodile receptionist asked about movement. Your Ca is low and your Mg is too high as well, in regards to natural levels (420 Ca, 1280 Mg). I dont think those will factor into the problem you have though, likely a light or flow issue.
Run your powerheads in reef-crest mode about 40% for starters then gradually increase them.Maybe flow then?
I have 2 mp40 in lagoon mode on 20% which seems to be good movement?
par is between 85-95 and been at that for a month now since I got the par meter.
I’ve had both those hammers for just over 4 months now.
Thanks everyone for responding.
Just to confirm, Do you think my flow is to low? Which is why you are suggesting to increase the flow? Or is reef crest a better mode for lps coral?Run your powerheads in reef-crest mode about 40% for starters then gradually increase them.
Wow that’s a beauty happy looking piece. I will have to try reef crest mode, I think I will start at 30% and go from there. ThanksI have frogspawn in one tank & hammer in another and they both reacted (in growth) to reef crest mode. It varies flow. Sometimes slow & subtle, other times more turbulent. If you set it at roughly 40% which is pretty mild see if the heads expand larger. Getting more flow around them seems beneficial.
