Any thoughts on what might be causing this hammer to partially retract in this one area? Not sure retracted is the right way to describe it. More like folded over the area almost like they’ve grabbed onto something. It’s been this way for a couple days. Thx for any input!

Could be a food item in there. Could be an injury from handling. Could be nothing. Looks new – how long have you had it?

Food was my initial thought but it’s been that way for several days. I gently blew off the area with a turkey baster. Went back to doing the same thing. I’ve have it for a month. @mcarroll

What kind of flow is it getting there? Anything that could be bothering it?

I would say it’s getting pretty light flow currently. There has been a lightening change as I just moved this and a bunch of other corals into a new tank. So the light on the tank is new and currently in acclimation mode. It’s ramping up over the next two weeks. The hammer was doing this before and after the move so it’s hard to attribute it to the changes.
