I got my hammer coral around May this year and has been doing very well, but when I had a Holiday for 4 weeks I gave it to a friend to look after, it looks so shrivelled from before, anything I can do to save it?

Be patient. Mine went through a tank crash. It took about a month+ but bounced back fine.

I have one that lets know when something is off.

It doesn't look to bad. Have you checked your parameters lately, was something off from having your friend take care of it?
Haven't check parameters lately but the person at the lfs said it has low Kh So he gave me some buffer power to use. Everything else was fine when he did so it's just this coral.
