I have a branching hammer thats been through 2 tanks and recently took off on its polyps splitting into 4 polyps on one and 3 on the other. Thing is the skeleton hasn't grown at all or very minimal in 2 years.

Is this normal? When should I see skeleton growth?

this was taken at night when they shrunk up a little so it is easier to tell the heads apart.

I’ve had mine a month and it’s split into two heads and grown a new skeleton for the second head. Not sure if that’s normal but in two years I feel like you should have more skeleton. May be low on calcium in your tank. I have no way to check mine or id let you know what my calcium is.

I will say though that I have a candy cane that started as two heads eight months ago and is now 12-15 heads and it has grown no new branches so it may be up to the individual coral.
