Hammer help

Got this frogspawn from the local fish store it was open and looked great under kessils. I've had it for over 3 weeks now and no change. I've moved it all around my tank and in some places it looks a little better but not much. Gonna do a water change tomorrow and see what it looks like after that. But this has been it's normal look under ai prime.

What are your parameters? How about your lighting vs what it was under in LFS?

For me they have liked medium to lower light, and gentle flow. They have always opened within hours for me. If its got that and still not opening, then look at your water, or possibly something picking at it.

I have an ai prime the lfs had kessils. It might be my water thats why I'm making water for a change tomorrow. I've had it all over my tank and nothing still the same

My frogspawn actually seems happier in moderate flow / lighting. I have it close to my hammer and they actually seem to open up more now that they're in close proximity compared to when they were separated.

Your problem could be chemistry related. They don't like water to clean, moderate light and flow. Could just be acclimating to the lighting, try finding a spot and leaving it be for a few days without intervening. Euphyllia always seemed sensitive to chemistry swings. I.E., alk, temp, salinity.

My hammer is acting similar. My frogspawn is flourishing (fully opened, eating well) in medium flow and medium light. The hammer was doing well also, but recently has started to scale back a little (not opening up as wide). I'm beginning to wonder if they are too close together? I haven't moved anything yet...maybe that would be a good idea?

Looks like a divisa? Yaeyamaensis maybe? They are a little more touchy in my experience than the branching paradivisa. As advised above, I would just let it be for a while and avoid any water chemistry fluctuations.

Hammer and Frogspawn can touch when doing well, but Torch seems to sting them too much in my experience. They do the best with moving polyps and direct, 100-150 par light in my case.
