Hammer Pest??

This hammer has been retracting on the sides for weeks now, I noticed this wormlike thing growing on the side of the skeleton, I touched it and It was hard, like a skeleton. What do I do?

From the pic it looks like a vermetid worm. It can put out a mucus webbing than can irritate corals. Do you notice any mucous like webbing?

Yeah, like a string of mucus, there was one on my Acan too but I just assumed the acan was stressed. How do I get rid of it?
