Hammer struggling

My hammer which I’ve had a week seems to be struggling on one side but not the other.
apologies for the bad picture but can anyone advise what’s going on? ( as the four non blondes sang )

sometimes mine will do that. I just leave it alone, and it figures itself out. Mine is 10 yrs old
