Tempted by the Hanna marine monitor for temp/salinity & pH.
I test manually regularly but this appeals for the old fashioned display.im not too fussed about the lack of WiFi.
I did see a mixed review on parkers reef but that seemed to be down to a dodgy salinity probe.
Does anyone have any experience of them?

My lfs runs one on a central tank in the shop and they hate it. We’re talking guys who were reefing and just general workers in the store before one of them bought the place, and they suggested against me buying one when I asked.

I’ve had it since its release. I’m not into wifi controllers either so this worked for me. The probe seems better than the traditional hydrometer I use in the mixing station. I like just walking by and glancing at the numbers. You can set parameters that will cause either an audible alarm or a flashing screen.

I’ll calibrate when I remember. Honestly other than cost I don’t see the real drawback. It’s another redundant measure of temp and salinity (and pH). And since my sump is remote this gives me a snapshot of what’s happening in the display.

I am using this for two months.

Pros:
1. Easy to calibrate
2. Readings are accurate

Cons
1. It lacks wifi, so you cannot monitor remotely.
2. Display numbers are not glowing, so you cannot check from a distance.
