Has anyone had any issues with the Hanna Nitrate Checker O-ring on the filter apparatus? Everytime I try and filter, no matter what I do the fluid with the solids bypass the filter making the test kit unusable. The O-ring looks a bit roughed up and I wonder if I damaged it while screwing it in or washing it out. I reached out to Hanna and am still waiting on an answer.

In the meantime, I can't see any place that sells the o-ring specifically for the checker. Can I buy it from a hardware store or somewhere online? It worked great for 3 tests, and I really like the kit, and would love to get it working again.

You might can check at your local auto parts house. Take the old one with you to ensure the diameter and size is the same. They usually have a good selection of o-rings and kits. Hope this helps.

Are you making sure to screw the syringe into the filter holder. I was having that same problem, I wasn't screwing the syringe in all the way. And you have to go very slow drip by drip.
