I just got a Hanna Phosphate Checker. My question is: how to you get the reagent powder into the cuvette without spilling some of it? There's got to be a secret to it!

I always cut the top of the packet, then push the ends together to make a crease in the middle of the packet and pour it out from the center crease. Works perfect.

I actually bought a very small plastic funnel to use because it was difficult to get all of the reagent out without spilling a little. It works great!

The hanna checker is a very very finicky test. Once you have mastered adding the reagent, run a couple of tests in a row and see how different each test reads...there is more to using this test than getting the reagent in.

I use the cut 2 side method and cut before I start test. Works perfect everytime

Yeah, I've started doing that and it seems to work best. I cut the package and "bend and fold" it just right and have it ready before I even get the water. I'm always conscious of the time that I take putting the reagent in and mixing so the thing doesn't time out before I can get it back in. I look at my watch and allow 90 seconds to sift it in and mix it and that always works.
