I've got a Hanna Phosphate checker that I've been using for a few months.

I had to order some more reagent recently. I've done a few tests and some of them blue and the checker reads 2.50.

I'll try another packet, it stays clear and I get a normal phosphate reading.

Anyone else experience the "blue" change? It's almost every other packet for me. I'm wondering if I got a bad batch of reagent.

When it turns blue po4 is high .
Check your packets on ro / di water they should be clear .

That's what I don't get though, I put one packet in, turns blue, reads 2.50. I immediately get a new vial of saltwater from the tank, tear off a new packet, it stays clear and shows .1 ppm.

Thought I was going crazy, I’m having the same issue as well! Haha

U sure you bought the right reagent ? Not the phosphorus reagent?

Could be a bad batch, maybe send them an email.
Can you cross check with a different kit to reagent box to have an idea if the non blue reading is also accurate or not?
