Is the tank newly setup with dry rock? I had to dose trisodium phosphate for months to get mine to even resister on the Hanna tester.

Perfect 0.06ppm or 21ppb.
It’s below .1ppm (not 0.01ppm which is a bad number) so that’s just fine.
I run 20-50ppb.

I trust Hanna only for this important test.

And whats the ideal range in ppb
In PPB, I run 20-40 for the first year and allow up to 80 after that. Occasionally, I need to mop up some phosphate with a temporary use of GFO if it rises above 80, week over week.

This includes a regular weekly water change of 5%.

Something, not nothing, not too much. Stability is the most important.

Earlier someone suggested 20 - 50 ppb which sounds reasonable, but I don't know the size, needs, or contents of that system. There are a lot of different variables in play in EVERY system. I would not advise you on a number to chase.

Pursue equilibrium.
