Hannah salinity checker

Questions about this product come up a lot for good reason. The Hannah salinity checker has to be calibrated, not often but every few months at most IMO. As far as accuracy, to me the hanna checker is for convenience use and it is great for that. For instance, you mix some salt to do a WC, you dip the checker in your tank and get a measurement, you dip the checker in your bucket and get a measurement, they are the same, go ahead and change the water. The hanna checker does not replace the classic hydrometer, IMO it shouldn't be your only form of salinity checking. So if I was going to be buying tools for the first time I would buy a hanna checker and a tropic Marin hydrometer the same day.

Yup, Tropic Marine´s huge salinity meter rocks! Carefull tough, it´s fragile ;)
