grabbing a valentini to put in my Qt for a while, my plan(yes i know it may be different) is to train on my frozen food(rods and LRS) as well as one type of hard shelled food for teeth wearing. What kind of clams or mussels do i buy and from where? I dont eat seafood so i dont know much about whats what.
Do i just get grocery store uncooked clams or mussels?

I've never had a problem getting a puffer to frozen.

Yes, uncooked, fresh clams, mussels, and oysters from the seafood counter will work.

Don't worry about their teeth, they will gnaw on rock to keep them from getting too long.

....they use the rock for grinding their teeth down...? lol what a funny thing that must be to watch

It just likes they're picking the rock for pods.

I have a Valentini...very interesting fish to watch as he always just does his own thing. You can buy whole frozen krill to help with the teeth but as others said, he spends a lot of time picking on the rocks so I don't think it will ever become an issue.
