I was watching a tank review of a garage reefer that runs these viparspectra lights for his LPS, and has similar reef breeder lights for his sps.

Currently I’m in the market for new lights, I only have two primes on my frag tank. What I was wondering, is if these lights would be adequate until I can transition to the eventual 4 hydra, 2 blade setup I wanna do.

Yes they will work perfectly fine . My buddy has these over his 300 and his tank is SPS dominate . I was just talking with him about them tonight . I picked up two 48x24x12 and I am thinking about using them over the frag tanks . He said they are very powerful and to hang them at least 12-14 inches off the water . That his set up

I use Vipars and never had a issue with them other than me bleaching corals by running them too high. They are kinda workhorses for me.

I’m running Viparspectra’s over my frag and main tank, with modified white channel LED arrays, my Acropora are very happy…
