Has anyone used these trash cans for mixing water?

Trying to save a little money vs Rubbermaid Brute cans and saw these at Rural King. Not sure what plastic they are made of. Has anyone used these to mix/store water?

The difference in alot of these house brands vs the brute food safe ones are thickness and rubbermaid paid for the certification

I think Brute use's a resin as its main material...regardless,....you get what you pay for....

Right. I only need it for filling and mixing salt to fill a 90g. It won’t be used for long term water storage.

Yeah,,,,you'll be fine. Just keep them out of direct sunlight for a long time....the PP/PE ones dont do well with UV

Right on! It’ll be kept inside in the garage when not in use.
