So I had a LTA and was leaving it to settle with the power heads off. I came back from work to find it getting close to my torch so went to get a towel to go in and move the torch. When I came back the LTD was upside down on top of the torch. I quickly grabbed it by the foot and chucked it off. The torch has retracted completely but could see its tentacles so hoping it was just annoyed. It’s been 24 hours now and is still quite shrivelled. Is it going to die, take a while to recover or do I need to do something like rinse with RO?

you should try to post a picture in whiter lights if possible, kind of hard to tell the condition of the torch. But anemones definitely can pack a sting, I would move it away and see if it can heal.

Not much you can do.. I keep hearing torches are the tough guys but my buddy just lost a bunch of torches to a chalice! They reached out to the chalice and left a little sting spot like the size of a grain of rice.. every torch that touched it got brown jelly and melted away the next day :/

what should I be looking to blow off? I can’t see anything that wasn’t on it but not sure if something stays on them after being stung that we can’t see

No idea.. nothing came off mine lol.. it was fully retracted, so I blasted it with flow and a couple tentacles came out about a half inch within 5 seconds.. set it down and it opened up fully in 3 min or so.. just gave him a quick bath haha
