Hello, thought it would be nice to also document my other tank!

I bought it second hand with some equipment, planned for it to be a lps tank with the sump almost entirely dedicated to frags. The light that was going to be used is a EcoTech Radion xr15 g4 pro (later updated to g5 pro)

Ill add some more post in chronological order!

This pic is from when it was still running at its previous owner

Next step was cleaning the tank, and since it was spray painted black and that was allready chipping off in placed i decided to wrap the tank using foil made for kitchen cabinets. Ended up making the stand entirely white but giving the door a wood pattern, this gave it a really nice finish!

I then scaped the tank and routed all the cables to the little cabinet next to the tank which was a nightmare with the small space. Redid the plumbing to put a proper gate valve in and used window foil to black out and white out certain parts of the sump to prevent lightbleed and increase reflection for the frags. Then added a weir to keep snails and fish in the frag section. A little tunze skimmer was added mostly for gas exchange and a little waste management. Finishing the frag tank off with a rack and a prime hd to light it.

And that was all finished in June 2023, roght now the tank is housing a pair of midnight clownfish and quite a few happy LPS corals. The previous g4 light burned out so i replaced it with a g5 that i am really happy with. The ato was replaced with a RedSea ReefATO+ when the old osmolator died, other than that the tank runs using a 4head jebao doser that has been dosing DIY Ammonia, Tropic Marin's Allforreef an vodka, flow is being created by a Maxspect jump gyre, a Jecod SLW-5 and in the frag tank is a Tunze Turbelle pump and finally temperature is being controlled by an InkBird controlling a Eheim Jäger in the overflowbox.

All in all I am really happy how the tank is maturing and will be adding more lifestock very soon!

Cant wait to see the new livestock additions!

Cant wait to see the new livestock additions!
Im still very much debating what fish to get. I had my partner decide what she wanted in the tank and she wanted black/dark coloured fish and large colourful fleshy lps corals.

Im still open for fish suggestions!

Another little update! Due to me switching out the Reefwave 25s for Reefwave 45s the R170 got two new gyres and I decided it may be nice to mount them to the back wall which gives a nice gentle flow for the LPS that have been doing well in the tank. Also got a good deal on a Radion g6 pro, so I decided to switch the g5 pro out, which will be lighting the frag tank in the sump soon, once I figure out how to mount it... All in all I am thrilled how this tank is doing, and that without an ugly phase! Some new fish include a Salarias ramosus and a Nemateleotris decora, which have been doing great. I also installed an in-tank UV light in the pump chamber as a precaution
