Have you cracked a reefing code?

Owning a reef tank can bring up a lot of difficult situations. Have you ever "cracked a reefing code" on problems that you see frequently befall other reefers?

I wouldn’t consider it cracking a code because even reef is different and some recipes work for some and not others. But, I keep my phosphate in the range I found keeps all my coral are happy by using gfo and TM Bacto Balance together. Not sure I am the only one who does this. So I dose 2ml of TM BB daily in conjunction with a low dose of GFO in my media reactor. Hypothesis is the GFO will lower phosphate and the TM NB helps jeep Nitrate and phosphate in check while not allowing either to bottom out. Took som time to file in but seem to work to keep both numbers where I want them.
