good article ^^^ potassium!!
ive never had a prob dosing it but some people try to knock it because of the lack of tests to measure its presence in the aquarium but strontium potassium aminos and microbacter(bright well)all really work wonders for color in my experience

T
here is another GREAT site out there with similar information, just cant find it

I haven't seen a single shred of scientific, or even solid annecdotal information, to support that article and all the claims made by supplement companies. The claims from the supplement companies as well as that article seem to mimic the unsuppoerted claims of one of the "system" based supplement companies.

Well, you could try adding just a little bit and see if you notice any changes.

I've "experimented" more than most in the hobby when it comes to tank changes, supplements, and messing with various levels. There are a lot of things that make a difference, trace and minor element boost via suppmentation doesn't seem to be much of a factor in the grand scheme of things. The same goes for amino acids unless you have pale and starved corals from driving nutrients too low via carbon dosing. At that point, feeding more, adding amino acids, having a dead fish, or taking wiz in your tank all seem to improve matters.

I've seen this in the past and feel it can be dangerous information. Dosing elements that are difficult to test for trying to achieve brighter colors can negatively impact your system.

Phosphates are the main inhibitor to color, along with poor lighting and unstable parameters.
