Hamauna Bay?

Yes. I heard it’s not as good as it use to be but it’s only $25 to go vs over $100. If I had the money I would do one of the more expensive places. In an ideal world I would have got dive certified before this trip and gone diving. I wish I had a better camera as well but all I have is my phone.

Or go to sharks cove on northshore for free. I spent 3 years diving there. There is also a place on the south shore, I forget the name of it but people pay hundreds for dive boats to go out to this 30' deep reef, but it has a parking lot not 200 feet away. Needless to say, I swam.

$25 + + +
Bring your wallet!

It’s a nature preserve. You are on your own. The $25 is for the taxi and snorkel equipment but that’s all u get. Any thing else u want u have to pay for.

You have to pay an entrance fee. The tram and equipment are extra.

Enjoy Hanauma Bay! There's a huge brain coral at the very left of the beach worth checking out. Not much coral to see other than that but some huge parrot fish, and Sailfin tangs. Every now and then you can find a few Moorish idols as well. Aloha!

The $25 is for a shuttle. Yes there is a $7 entrance fee. Equipment is included in the $25. Even if I spend $50 it’s still cheaper then a $150 or more boat tour.

I lived on Oahu in 1982. A little town called Wahiawa in the center of the island, worked on the army golf course. I learned how to snorkel at Hanuma bay, back then it did,nt cost anything. As a kid from Oklahoma I thought I new everything,so I put on my fins and mask and snorkel and headed out. I was doing pretty good until I decided to dive down and take a look around. When I came back up I sucked that whole tube of saltwater down my lungs, did,nt know you were supposed to blow out to clear your snorkel! Thought I was going to drown!! I also learned about fire coral and urchins both hurt like heck.
