I have an IM 40L AIO for my office tank with Hawaiian black sand in it. I currently have snails, emerald crabs and hermit crabs for a clean up crew but really need something to turn the sand over. I think the gravel/sand might be too big for a goby to handle but I'm not sure. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I have a 20g with the same sand, anything else besides a conch for general sand scavenging? I have 4 conches in my 150g and they love their fine sand, but I haven't yet kept them with something this coarse. It looks good, but the large grains have their downsides. Do larger specimens help? What about hermits (blue leg or scarlet)? Being a smaller tank, 2-4 really active scavengers would probably be enough.
