i thought hawaii already banned the capture of fish for ornamental purposes a while back? Was this to undo that prior bill?

They had a ban but I believe it expired or something similar. Although the legal battles are still in effect so no permits have been issued as far as I understand. Sounds like this new bill was trying to re-ban everything.

1-30-23 9:30am Judge Crabtree First Circuit Court ruled to remove the injunction against the West Hawaii Commercial Aquarium Fishery. (From RTLIVEFISH) I believe that caused Bill 505 to start up
