i am down sizing from a 125 to a 40 and i am going to have to sell my flame pair. this kills me but i want the fish to have a good home. the problem is i am not sure what to sell them for.what are people paying for these outside a store ? thanks for any input.

It would depend on your local market. With the stuff going on with the Hawaiian fisheries they are a tad scarcer than they used to be, but are still very obtainable. If you are trying to sell than and potentially ship them that is a different story.

thank you, i would prefer to sell them local and not take a chance on them dying during shipping.

Depends on where you live. If close to me $25 for the pair, if not then much more than that.

I agree with @ca1ore 's sentiments....if you are within driving distance $25.

Seriously, since no one has given you a real number, I'll say no less than $200 for the male, $100 for the female. That still is a good bargain to anyone getting them.
