Heater alternative?

So im currently running using it 1200w of heater's. To warm my systems .. easily my biggest cost in my reef however I was hoping to hook something up to my boiler system maybe through pex tubing
..anyone ever do something like this ir something different? Thx in advance!!

It wouldn't be very efficient since Pex tubing is a horrible conductor of heat and cold. The heat exchange rate would be minimal. Many have tried the opposite by using coiled up tubing in a dorm refrigerator or freezer section and it doesn't work very well. When you look at BTU units, the amount of energy needed to heat or cool even one gallon of water, one degree C is tremendous.

MH :) i love this time of the year...chiller doesnt come on and heats good portion of the house.

if you have a big sump maybe wrap the sides in pink insulation especially if it is glass.
