Just got my apex and want to make sure this is right
Have a inkbird ITC-306A controlling my heater
Want to use apex as a fail safe as to not cook my fish

And at what temp do you have the inkbird? I'm assuming you have the inkbird plugged into the outlet your showing?

If it were me, I would do away with the defer command. If the apex shuts inkbird off because of an overheating problem, you wouldn't want it to come back on 30 minutes later.

Instead I would just put a line of code in my alarms so I know it got shut off.

Calibrate either inkbird or apex so the temps match, or you may get nuisance trips
