Heater for a 25g lagoon

Anyone know of a 200w heater that will fit in the back of an im25g lagoon tank? Can’t find one. May have to go with two 100w. I rather not.

I have the BRS 200 watt titanium heating element in my IM 25 lagoon. It sticks out of the water about an inch (in one of the refugium sections) but it's working just fine.

200 watts is a lot of heater for a 25 gallon. In most cases, a 100 watt to 150 watt is typically just fine. I am using a 200 watt because I had it on hand, and the room this tank is in gets pretty cold in the winter months.

200 watts is a lot of heater for a 25 gallon. In most cases, a 100 watt to 150 watt is typically just fine. I am using a 200 watt because I had it on hand, and the room this tank is in gets pretty cold in the winter months.

Same here the room I’ll be putting it in gets down to around 62 some days in winter. Does that heating elelement need a controller? I have an ink bird.

The BRS titanium heaters do need a controller. I run several of them on inkbirds.

That's exactly the temps I deal with in my room, low 60's in the winter.

Yes, the BRS Titanium heating elements do need a controller like an InkBird.

Titanium heaters also double as a grounding probe for the tank too, so bonus.

The refugium chamber measures 7.9 inches the heating element you said you have measures 10.25 inches. No problem sticking out of the water 2.25 inches? It doesn’t have to be totally submerged?

No issues not being fully submerged that I’ve noticed. Sticks about an inch or so out of the water, in the ‘fuge section.

Id say whatever you get, id suggest away from the ones that have a plastic shell. During my research into getting my own, i found that there were a lot of people that had theirs crack. For my 15g, I ended up going with an Eheim Jager 50w since i didnt want to get a controller off the bat for a BRS titanium. Another thing id recommend is making sure there is room in your tank to put it to where its at the proper water level

I've never tried the Hyggers, but they seem fairly popular. It's the right size and has a controller. I'd try to see what other people that have owned it think, but that might not be a bad choice.
