Still not sure what to do with these pallies. Had them for about a month and they will only open half way. They looked awsome in the lfs but in my tank there mad. I grabbed 4 frags the same day all the other frags are looking good and have multiple babies growing. I'm kinda stumped as to how to save these.

Move them to a shady spot till they open, and if that doesn't work. Coral rx is awesome

I've had them everywhere in my tank by now lol. The lfs guy says they need high lighting so there up pretty good in my tank now. I'm gonna try coral rx maybe this weekend if nothing changes.

Are you feeding your palys Heath? I feed mine otherwise they shrink or don't grow well.

Just broadcast when I feed my fish. There all doing great except that one frag.

Everything I have in my tank was 2 or 3 polyp frags and are now mini colonies. I just don't understand what's wrong with these.

Try direct feeding it. Some palys prefer it this way. It might help

I watched your video :)! The lfs was wrong. Actually if they need more light they will reach... yours are squashing down. Too much light. Also they like direct feeding at least 1 time per week of pretty ground frozen or small particle frozen. Most all zoas and palys in tanks 22-24 deep with leds or other high par lighting will need to be low.

I hear yah but they don't open no matter where I've had them. I shaded the for 3 or 4 days I put them in the sand I put them everywhere now at 4 days at a time and nothing. There Makin me mad. Lol

I put em back down here I'll leave them for a few days then I'm gonna start dipping them. Something is going on.

I am also curious about why you're dosing so much vinegar? To me, that seems like a lot... I put only 1 tsp in a full 20g ato tank

Am I totally wrong? From what I've read I didn't think I was dosing much. Randy was talking 45 ml per gallon.

Well it's kinda like vodka dosing. But you slowly work your way up to the perfect dose for your tank. All tanks are different.

Honestly i prefer vodka dosing over vinegar. I use the vinegar mainly as an additional bacteria to those that vodka creates. Again, it's what works for you. But it should be done gradually.

Well it helps the lime dissolve.

When i was doing kalk, i did 2 tsp per gal and 1 tsp vinegar. That was sufficient to desolve the lime. I'm not saying he is wrong if he gave you that measurement of vinegar, but it doesn't seem necessary to use so much. Like vodka, vinegar is another form of carbon. You have a 100g tank, i wouldn't put that much in my 193g twv tank. Not straight off anyway.

I wasn't getting much cheato growth so I decided to pull the plug on the led fuge light and switch back to the regular old daylight CFL. Boom it's doubled in size in no time. So that's good I guess.

I'm using the 2700k cf also. I get "ok" growth.
