Helfrichi Firefish Pairing Gender?

Just want to verify…I believe I have a male Helfrichi and if I got a female, do they pair after one is established or do they need to be added to the tank at the same time?

Thanks to @ThRoewer on the dart fish sexing thread, I’m pretty sure this is a boy?
That thread was a few years old so not sure if my question would be answered there. And it’s not a breeding question cuz I have no hopes of that. Just love the idea of TWO.
