Hello, I brought home 2 purple firefish (99% sure they are a male and a female using the method described here https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/sexing-and-pairing-dart-firefish.814107/). They dont seem shy at all. They stay chill swimming even my face is close up to the glass and even flash with a headlight. They have been exploring the tank and eating pretty well, but they couldn’t seem to find a hiding spot. Not that they are being threatened and needing one but they are sleeping directly on the sand bed at night ….. which just feels sad. Its a 20 gal and i think theres a few good spots in between the rocks but idk if my lawnmower blenny patrolling on the rock makes them feel unsafe to stay in the rock.
Should I try digging a burrow under a rock for them or put a tube in? Or are they capable of digging themselves if needed and they are fine sleeping on the sand?
