I bought the IM Helio Mini PTC controller + 30W heater element, not realizing the controller itself only has one heater element plug rather than two.
My intentions were to run two heaters with the controller, but now only having the capability to run one heating element, I’m wondering if there would be an issue running the larger element I have (200W) with the ‘mini’ controller.

I believe the mini controllers come with either 30 or 50W elements only - Does anyone run a Helio Mini controller with an element >50W?

Nothing in the manual suggests against it but i’m not sure if there would be any issues w the controller connecting higher powered elements. I am awaiting a reply from Innovative Marine’s customer service, but figured I would check in the meantime. Thanks

What does the sticker on the backside of the controller say for wattage? I just looked at my dual 100w and it shows max power .7 watt lol

I did check that as well, as I have a dual element Helio controller on my other tank. Both are 0.7W
