FWIW, if I put my dragon souls under lower par, around 150-200. They look like the darker torch on the right. If I put them in 300-350 par, they go super gold/yellow like the hellfire on the left.

Wow. Didn’t know that either. I have a good size colony grown from a 2.5 head frag. It’s cool, but color doesn’t pop. Mostly purple since the gold doesn’t pop nor the teal tips. Tried to feed but they don’t actively feed. Nitrates and phos all defectable so I assumed it’s just the natural mature colors.

How long before you noticed the color brightening up? I’m tempted to move mine at the risk of making it unhappy.

I came here to ask the same question, after reading the comments lighting definitely made a difference in telling one from another. I immediately ran to my tank and started playing with the UV, Blues, violets and purples and immediately saw the difference
