Sooo the wife just bought a nuvo 100 and bought a apex 16. I already have an apex hooked up to our wifi and fusion. she created a new fusion account so she could have her own. I can't seem to be able to get the token for her apex to fusion. I followed the getting started instructions and went to the apex.local. But when I do and use the User Name: Admin, password: 1234 it goes directly to my apex. I sign out and put in all her user name and password that I just created and it said login it says User Name or password wrong. I can't seem to figure this out. and of course its Sunday so no one is at Neptune to help me out.

If you have another apex on the network, “apex.local” will get tricky for you.

Here is a hack to get the token and be set up on fusion:

Unplug the other apex for a few minutes xD

I was trying to get this running tonight to do leak test on the plumbing. Neptune support is not available until tomorrow. If we have to we will wait :(

Should I still use the default login? or her login that she made?

Unfortunately, that would only be a temporary solution. The critical part you left out is that one of the Apexes must be renamed.

You don’t need tech support for this. The problem is that you have two Apexes with the same name so there is a conflict.

Shut down the new Apex. Login and rename your existing Apex to something unique. Reboot the Apex. Fire up the new one and you should be able to access apex.local of the new one.

I suggest you rename that one as well to clearly identify them as His and Hers ;)

To rename an Apex, you use the Network settings page.

If it’s a newer Apex, that’s the WiFi symbol icon in either Apex Local or Apex Fusion. If your older Apex is an Apex Classic model, use the Classic Dashboard and go to Configuration-> Net setup.

I was assuming he just wanted to set up fusion, by obtaining a token. Agreed that it would not resolve the local access issues
