Hey everyone! Newbie reefer here. I've been stalking the Reef2Reef forum for months trying to learn as much as possible about reefing prior to and during the early stages of my aquarium being installed. I have a 150 Gallon Aqueon tank (7 weeks old) with three AI Hydra 32 HD lights, Eshopps RS 200 Sump, Octo 150 SSS Skimmer, Neptune Apex Controller LDK, ATO, DOS, and AFS. I guess you could say I'm going all in...:):):)! I feel like I've read a ton of forums and everyone has their own way of doing things successfully. Looking forward to gaining a lot of knowledge from the reefer experts in the forum!

Welcome! Glad you joined.

WOW!! You are rockin' with your setup! Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. Like you, I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

If you can't adjust your tank's white lights up (or blue down), an orange filter can help. A DIY solution I saw the other day was using a pill bottle's plastic in front of the camera lens. Someone else put sunglasses in front of lens. I haven't yet bought lens kit for my iPhone, but its something eventually I will do

Welcome!!! Looking forward to photos! I had used my sunglasses with amber lenses for some time before I purchased a reef tank-specific lense for my camera. Before I had the amber sunglasses I lowered the amount of blue light in my settings. Depending on the camera you have, you should also be able to adjust the white balance as another option.
