Hello everyone,
I am excited to be here and am looking forward to joining in the forums to share and learn. I have a small, 29-gallon, reef aquarium which I have had for about 5 years. I have no livestock right now, but am working to get the tank back up to par.

welcome...ask as many questions as you'd like....there are a ton of experts on this forum

I am planning to start Astraea snails and some candy shrimp. I also want to get some mushroom polyps and green polyps, maybe some tube worms. I used to have a few Pulse corals and would love to get those again. This time I am going to stay away from fish until I have things really established. Maybe I will eventually get a dwarf grouper, but I want some strong corals first.

So far, I only have left-over coral line algae. :) My family gave me new LED super blue and 10,000K lights for Christmas. Sort of gave me a jolt of new energy. I tore down the tank, scrubbed off the remains of a horrible GHA bloom, and turned the lights back on. It almost looks like a new tank. But the live rock and live sand are giving me a boost.

Let hats great if I was you id add some cerith snails nassarius and some small hermits to clean the sand up

Thanks! I will look for them as soon as the nitrate cycle moves along.

Maybe one small shrimp like a peppermint would help a swell bc they eat dieoff such as an old snail passing or a crab dieing and I don't suggest emerald or sallyfoot crabs bc they are extremely clumsy and can knock coral over into the sand

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome! I have a quick question, I think. I would like some advice on buying a new heater. I discovered that the thermostat on the current one is faulty. Anyhow, there are so many threads and categories that I am not sure which section to ask. The Nano Tank thread? Or the equipment thread?

I have been reading the older duscussions, but any pointers you may have would be great!
