I originally started in the freshwater game when I was about 8 years old. I have kept all kinds of freshwater tanks over the years both privately and professionally. When I moved 7 years ago I had to close everything down. I decided to drop back into the hobby again after constant dreams about caring for tanks and the huge fish shaped hole in my heart became too much to bear. Like many of you, it's in my blood. I thought I would take the opportunity to embark on my lifelong dream of starting a reef tank. I can't wait to learn from all of you as I build my little slice of ocean.

Welcome to your new addiction! I started with Fresh Water as a kid also. I'm from North Florida where there are 3 rivers and many lakes, even as a kid I strive for an actual ecosystem....and that's when most people didn't even know what that word meant. Now I've also recently made the reef tank plunge almost 9 months ago and it's been an obsession since. Always something to learn. Always something to try and no two are remotely the same. Enjoy the ride!
