Hi everyone,

I wanted to drop in, say hi and provide some background information. I’ve been in the fish hobby for 35 some odd years, mostly fresh except for a short stint with salt 20 years ago. We currently have about 40 freshwater and Caridina shrimp tanks and are looking to add either a 60G or 120G LPS / Zoa tank to the rack in the fish room. The fish room and other tanks are constantly changing, being reset, inhabitants changed, etc. etc. and I guess that’s how I stay interested in it. My wife is really into Caridina shrimp and has placed in some of the competitions that are held at Aquashella over the past couple of years. (Shameless brag but I’m very proud of what she has accomplished in this area.)

I caught the bug very early in life with my grandfather who would raise FW angelfish and sell them back to the fish stores many, many years ago. My first experience with salt was when he decided to do a salt tank way, way back and needless to say I learned a few choice words at a very young age helping with that endeavor.

I am looking forward to researching, learning and getting to know y’all.

Welcome to Reef2Reef!!

That's quite the fish room! Are you adding your new saltwater tank in there as well?
Yes it will be either one of the tanks on the bottom left row that is currently used for water storage / aging. I just have to figure out what lighting will work directly on top of the tank.
