Hello from Fort Lauderdale. Just decided to dive back into saltwater after a 7 year hiatus. I currently have a 90g fresh water planted tank and decided to try again with a reef tank now that I'm a bit older/settled, financially more stable and have some more time to give it the attention that it needs.

My wife surprised me with a Red Sea Max Nano Peninsula (g2) that she got in great condition and am going to start the cycle with some live rock, CaribSea Arag-Alive Special Grade Sand (20lbs) and let that cycle for multiple weeks. I'm open to stocking suggestions. In my last nano tank (32g) I had 2 clowns, six line wrasse and some small crabs and 1 small shrimp. I tried my hand with a starry blenny (which was my favorite) and a hawkfish (at different times) but they didn't last very long (about 1 year and 3 years). My clowns made it 9+ years till I had to move and found them a new home.

Sounds like 26g might be pushing it for a similar stock, so might have to settle for just the 2 clowns which is fine, but curious what others have had luck with in a similar size tank (I'm sure I'll find some ideas scrolling R2R some more).

Right now I just filled the tank up with tap to check for any leaks, I'm well aware of the Red Sea issues with the seams as I researched that extensively before putting any water in this used tank.

Anyways, glad to be here and look forward to updating with some new photos in the coming weeks/months.
