System Details:

Display: 75 gallon, pre-drilled tank

Filtration: Refugium sump setup

Lighting: LED system

Substrate: Live sand

Rockwork: Dry rock aquascape

Bacteria: Dosed FritzZyme TurboStart 900

Current Age: 5 days since initial setup

The goal is a stable, long-term reef with a focus on maintaining balanced nutrient export via the refugium. Starting with dry rock to minimize pests but seeded with live sand and TurboStart to kick off the cycle. Monitoring parameters daily to track ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels as the bacteria establish.

I’ll be updating with test results, equipment tweaks, and eventual stocking choices as the system matures. Input from those with experience running similar setups is appreciated.
this part is extremely hard as patience can test me mentally or financially.. 😆 🤯

Due to that angle in the sumps return section, I just wanted to ask if you have tested to make sure that the sump will hold all the water that will go down to the sump when the return pump is off?
If that is good, then you are off to a good start. Patience is my biggest obstacle too!!!
