You may add a mini skimmer such as IceCap K-50

Welcome

what parameter are u struggling to hold down?

Spock-Home.jpg
There isn't anything that has been difficult to control. I'm looking to upgrade because:
1) I want my fish and coral to be as happy as possible
2) I want the process to be as easy as possible for me
3) It's fun to tinker and change things up

I'm relatively new to LA. Where are the good Local Stores?

I just got back in to reefing after 10 years... and a lot of the LFS have disappeared or have gone downhill. Following are a few of the LFS that I've recently visited and could recommend.
Seaside Tropical - Huntington Beach. huge store, great prices
Rainbow Aquarium -Arleta. High end equipment. Good prices.
Golden State Corals - two thumbs up. Small store. High end corals. Small selection of fish and inverts, but all very high quality. Owner with a passion for reefing and very nice.
Vivid Aquariums - never been here but it's on my hit list. Heard lots of good things about this store.
I'm still searching for "local" fish stores. If you know of any, let me know.

Thanks a ton! I'll check out Golden State Corals and Vivid Aquariums soon, as they are relatively close to me and to each other. There is also Unique Corals right there, as well. I'd like to check then out too (appt only).
I have used LAX Aquarium with success.
I used to frequent Nature Aquarium when it was in Santa Monica. It was ok. Then he moved to Culver City and the owner has been less helpful and he is now fresh water only.
I'll post a review once I have visited your suggestions.
