Hey everyone,

My names Tim, 46 years old and reside in Northwest Arkansas (Rogers, AR). I am a Cybersecurity Engineer for a Fortune 1 company, Married to a very supportive wife, have 3 adult kids/2 Adult Step Kids and 4 Grandchildren.

I kept freshwater fish for years (African Cichlids, Peacock Bass, Oscars, yada yada). I ended up getting burnt out of having a large tank. Lugging the pumps around every week for water changes, hoses, etc got old and on top of that, I spiral fractured my Tibia and broke my Fibula in 2 places a year ago (Don't ask HOW i broke my leg lol). I had to have the wife and my adult son help with water changes. I made the decision to rehome my freshwater fish and sell my 142 gallon tank (to a member on this forum).

I have a co worker who has kept saltwater tanks for a few years and the person that bought my FW tank has a reef tank which fired me up to give it a try, but I wanted a smaller, more manageable tank. I decided to go with a 15 gallon IM AIO a couple months ago and i currently have some Soft and LPS Corals with a couple of Fish. I have always enjoyed gardening and keeping Corals is like having an underwater garden. I am really loving the coral hobby!

I learned everything I know about Reef Tanks from posts on this forum and Youtube. I can't thank everyone enough for posting your successes, failures and advice. This has helped me (and many others) be successful at keeping livestock. Time to stop lurking and join the fun here!

Thanks!

Tim
