Hello all,

I am Alex, just started my very fist pico saltwater aquarium, I’ve been dreaming for some time.
The tank used is a 57 litre aquarium with rounded front corners, bean animal overflow and a 60 litre sump.
Hardware part is comprised of a RedSea reef led 50, a 100W heater, a jebao wave maker, jebao dcs 1200 return pump and a bubble magus qq1 skimmer.
I am using RedSea coral pro salt and I am currently on day 15 of cycling my aquarium with RedSea Reef Mature starter kit.
There is a total of 10 kg of live rock 5 kg in the display tank and another 5 kg in the refugium part of the sump.
Currently there are some brown algae and some kind of worm coming out of the live rock.
Water chemistry last night was:
Salinity 1024
Ph 8.4
Kh 9.5
NO3 15
NO2 0

looking forward to finishing the cycling and introducing the first corals.

Cable management is still a work in progress C766525D-BA06-42C7-BA48-CDFDFB0F3A77.jpeg 667781D9-B919-4F07-AEAC-DEE1B60FBD4B.jpeg 4BC74A30-DE75-4DC2-9E79-C92FA1450A5B.jpeg

Hi Alex and Welcome! Glad you joined.

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID). You already have all the info you need to get started, look above at your info! Just copy it over into a new post in other section Forum > member aquariums > (size) and start new thread. Cheering for you because you already sound well on your way!!

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:
