Good Day fellow reefers!

My name is Conley and I am from South Africa. I started my first marine aquarium in 2003 and have not given up ever. This hobby is my passion and I have learned a lot about this hobby in the past 20 years, and it is just a drop in the ocean. I learn new things every day and this is what I love the most about reef keeping.

My avatar is a pic of my Toadstool leather (sarcophyton) coral that I got 5 years ago from a fellow reefer when it was still a frag the size of my pinkie finger nail. My friends keep asking when I will frag it, but I just can't get myself to do so, although I have on a couple of occasions "fragged" it by pulling it of a rock to give it a "better" rock to grow onto. So as a result I have 4 other baby toadstools on my rocks.

Other corals include, mushrooms, zoas (that I collected locally when I went down to the coast), some palys, kenya tree, rbta, ricordea mushrooms, gsp, cabbage leather coral.

I hope I can share some of my experiences as much as I will gain knowledge from others'.

Cheers!

thanks for landing here and hope to hear more from you

and fyi, I give my giant toadstool a trim every 3-4 months when its shadow gets too large, and 2 months later trade frags with LFS - run fresh carbon when I do, and it gets way ticked for a couple of weeks, but does just fine
