Hey all!! I'm excited to be back from a hiatus of at least 12 years. I previously had a 20 gal tank and had to dismantle it due to moves and what not. I recently purchased a 60g from a neighbor. I couldn't pass up the deal, oh and my wife said I could get it for Father's Day ;). It's a 60 gallon acrylic with the sump behind the tank. It came with three fish and two soft corals. I just purchased a Tunze DOC 9004 Skimmer, a JBJ Oceanstream Kit, and Red Sea Test Kits...I know they aren't the greatest things but it sure is a start. I will probably pick people's brains since a ton has changed in 12 years. So I apologize and thank you in advance.

Welcome to R2R and back to the addiction. Your Father's Day present looks terrific...congrats.

Haha thank you all

Welcome; I see something looking like the sun corals or they are just some yellow polys? :)

They are just yellow polyps. I was so tempted today to get some frags from a LFS...but I'm trying to do it right, get all the test kits and make sure my water is good before I start adding things...

Very wise. Slow and steady wins the reef keeping race.
