I was the same . When your able to stand up after the sticker shock , and If you tell us what size of tank ect there is lots of help. Especially how to not spend money needlessly . Unless you are wealthy then go Nuts!. Anyway when you get ready to cycle if you want I have a " fishless " cycling article to share if you want. Lots of differant viewpoints on this subject But Mines the best🥰. This place is a quagmire and you pick your opinions as you go don't forget # reef squad . A collection of experienced people ( I am not in the inner circle 😁 ). If I were to start over I might go a bunch of small tanks all over the house. You have to be single or have a blind partner for that 😌

I am going the small tank side, i don't have too much free space in my house and there are already 2 aquariums, so i am planning to do a 16 lt tank with backsump filtration for keeping zoas xenia and some nice mushrooms and maybe GSP if i manage to fit an extra island isolated from the main rock structure so it doesn't outgrow the other corals. also i think 16 liters or 4 gallons is too small for fish, so maybe i will just keep some hermit crabs in there, as this is my first time i will for sure let the tank cycle a good bit, maybe 3-4 months or when i see that there are no big parameters swings and there is no ammonia, to be honest, i never test parameters in my freshwater tanks, so i am also new to that topic.

DO YOU THINK TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS ARE MORE HELPFUL OR HURTFUL TO REEFING?
