Thanks for the welcomes everyone! Now where is the best place to start asking my basic questions? My local reef/fish store ... where i got started has twelve employees and you can get a different answer, for the same question, from each of them lol.

First of all, welcome! You have a beautiful tank. Secondly, I've noticed the same thing with my lfs. After a while you start to know who knows what. I always go to that store on Fridays because three of most knowledgeable employees work there that day. I listen to their advice and look up what they said when I get home. Most of the time it is consistent. The hardest part is when you are learning. Different people (long-time hobbyists even) have different approaches and philosophies. I always listen to what they say and then research on my own -- sometimes going with my gut. Much depends on time and money. I'm glad you joined us. :-)

@Salty Lemon hit the nail on the head. You might find that you will get a different answer from everyone that answers here as well. People will answer based on their personal experience and system they have set up. Take that into consideration when evaluating the suggestions you receive here or elsewhere. What works for one hobbyist may not have the same outcome for you. The basics and foundations of the hobby, however, I think are fairly universally agreed upon. There are a dozen ways to skin a fish... Doh, did I just say that?
