Just starting out with first saltwater tank for last few months with a tank I took over from someone. It’s just a small Fluval 13.5 gal. Realized we will not be able to get all of the fish and coral my wife would want in there so retrofitting the 72gal bow front Cichlid tank that I have with canisters until I get a new large tank with a sump. Looking forward to exploring this saltwater hobby

Welcome! Glad you joined. Originally I transitioned from freshwater to saltwater doing exactly what you are doing with that 72 gallon.

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID). You might consider doing a thread for each tank (entirely up to you) but you will only get one badge. I find it is helpful to have each tank in its own thread, but that is just me - I'd do thread for your 13.5 and one for the converting 72 gallon.

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:
