Are you going to reset your 90 into a reef
Yes I am. Plan is to do new rock, upgrade the lighting and pumps, correcting the sump with new baffles for a fleece roller and some control things with my apex for a better means of water change as I have a pathway already leading to my water change station below. I also want to build a cabinet for all my apex and dos as well. Make it fit my needs more. I ordered some new rock from BRS this weekend and built a template to build the rock in. Also want to redo all the plumbing underneath as well. Trying to got for another lps/sps tank again. When the time comes I will be building another bukld page for that as well.

Did a water change this morning and noticed the urchin finally chose a hat that my wife ordered from a 3d printer. Just wearing the hat enjoying its seaweed rock. Shrimp had to come check out my hand today too. First time it has done that. Shed its first exoskeleton the other day. Scared my wife, she thought it died🤣 kids thought it was super cool though.

Finally had some down time to update this build been insanely busy lately with work. Decided on a path forward with this tank and started catching the bug for adding corals. With a solid light over the tank now I decided to go for another sps/lps build. Anemones melted out except my carpet anemone which I have never had any luck with regardless of age on a tank. No idea why but o well. Was sitting on my coach and was like WOW is that light bright which is saying a lot considering my 90 is directly behind my coach and ran 2 of them but it seemed brighter on the 15. With it next to my wifes desk and decided to buy a light shade from @Printed Reef. Received it today and fits like a charm and the best 40 bucks Ive spent on this tank yet plus I got a new sticker to add to the collection.

Unfortunately had my damsel jump out of the tank which the wife found in her desk chair the next morning and still fresh from the clownfish jumping devasted my kids. Needless to say I invested in a lid from @Kraken Reef and am expecting it in the coming weeks which I am super pumped about to get as well.

With the move to making the tank and sps tank I also went and ordered a AI Nero 3 tocadd the increased flow needed. I searched around and landed on this powerhead for size and flow but the ability to use the mobius app with it as well. Saw some half and half reviews on it so I am hoping all goes well with this new pump

Also the IAOAI skimmer is working perfectly! Who says skimmers can't work on nanos. Wish the skimmate was thicker but something is better than nothing.

Over all never expected to be dropping so much money into a tank that came as a kit but I can't help myself. Be the greatest hello reef out there.

I also tried to get the urchin ready for winter, wasn't having it with the beanie and went back to the top hat. It knows what it likes🤣

I am also still loving the roller fleece from @NatureDimensions believe it or not still on the first roll. Looking forward to replacing the first one

The new powerhead arrived today so I removed the one that came with the hello reef and placed it in a new spot. So far already enjoying it and will be playing around with the settings especially once coral starts to get added.

My son noticed (already) aiptasia starting in the tank but thankfully have some aiptasia x on hand so will definitely be monitoring this thing like a hawk. Not going through that again.

We also have been going through power outage threats (precautions for high winds) where I live and the last time the power company did this our power was off for almost three days when the 90 was still running. Fortunately my dad wasn't using his generator at the time and I was able to back up the whole house within ten minutes of the outage so no lose. However it is not always an option as he welded in his truck that he uses for work. Not wanting to go through that again we decided to buckle down and buy one just in case. Best thing is it can run off of natutal gas so if we have a long outage again I have the option to use my has hook up outside. Wanting to run both tanks in the future and dump a fair amount of cash into them I refuse to lose anything because of lose of power

Been trying to figure out how to get pictures to post. Sand kicked up why the photos look all hazy but I will be getting better photos today of everything now that its all settled in
why are most of your snails upside down on the sand bed
From tossing them back in for them escaping. Im hoping they are figuring it. They eventually get up and start moving around again

As part of my Chrismas present to my kids I had them both choose 2 corals for the tank so pics to come when those arrive. Went to my local AFS and bough some tests kits and some coral food that I ran on my 75 and can't leave with out as well as some additions to the CUC. Got a peppermint shrimp and some narcissus snails. Crazy enough the test kits, red sea ab+ and rods food cheaper than BRS. Plus I got it today as opposed to January 2nd. Definitely worth the trip.

Tested my alk, for natural sea water was right on (~7) but I like being at about 9.5 on my tanks and calcium was right at 430. Might adjust but I'll keep my get my alk where I like and correct from there. Fortunately have a fair amount of sofa ash lying around. Tested again and got to around 8 dkh. Will be getting it in my sweet spot over the next couple days plus did a water change. That always helps

Shrimp is in the last pic. Hard to see from the stress from gettingnadded today but I swear its there hahaha. Fire shrimp checked him out but all seems to be fine now. Hopefully that aiptasia gets eradicated now.

Received the @Kraken Reef top for the helloreef and I am beyond thrilled with the quality of this thing. Sent over my measurements of my tank and some additional pictures (wanted to have it asap so sprung expedited shipping) and was blown out of the water with this lid. Just placed it on the tank without any adjustment to my skimmer and everything fit perfectly and I some how managed to place the new powerhead directly under the feeding hole of the lid so a win win for not only feeding but dosing as well. Well worth the purchase and the swedish fish was a nice touch 🤣🤣

Coral day has finally come! Took a minute but finally got them all acclimated. The orange hammer took a beating (from me) but should survive everything else looks great. Torches started to open immediately and the acros look great. Got a free voral and a mystery being a green star polyp and a zoa. We will see on those not much of soft coral keeper. Stocking list is as follows
Black light torch
Blue light torch
Indo Pink gold hammer
Purple hammer
Indo orange hammer
CB flaming fire dragon acro
QCC honey badger acro
And the green polyp and zoa

Thanks for the frags loved the packaging as well especially how the frags had cups around them for protection @Queen City Corals
